Tiara Time!

What's with the tiara??

You might be wondering, “What’s with the tiara?”

The short version of the story: I wear it to big Athena’s functions to let everyone know which team I’m on.

Now for a few more details.

My team leader, Linda Norton, has been a Goddess with Athena’s since 2002. Since then, she has built a team of successful Goddesses and Adoni who have in turn started their own teams. The collection of all of these teams is know as the “Linda’s Lovely Ladies and Lads” lineage, or “L4” for short.

At big Athena’s events, like the National Sales Meetings, members of the L4 lineage are encouraged (but not required) to wear tiaras. It helps us identify other people on our teams. Prior to one meeting, a new Goddess approached another Goddess and me and said, “You two have tiaras on…where are we sitting?” Worked like a charm.

The first time I heard about the tiaras, I was excited to breathe new life into my beautiful wedding tiara that had been stuck in a drawer since I married my husband in 2010. The events accompanying a Sales Meeting usually span a whole weekend, and I wear my tiara whenever it seems even remotely fitting.

So I love this sparkly spectacle for so many reasons. I wore it when I married the love of my life. It signifies that I am part of a large, proud lineage of amazing members of Athena’s. And quite frankly, it makes me feel like a pretty princess.
